The Path Of The Rainbow is a series I paint to fulfill a part of my heart that longs to be living life among the indigenous tribes of South America. While Life seems to have other plans for me here in southern CT just outside of NYC, I still feel this deep connection to all of those that are living the truths of our ancient past; those shamans and curanderos who live in peace and harmony with the land, who respect all of Nature, who work with the magic of Life and take guidance from the stars and the cosmos.
Thankfully Life has extended me a bridge to this Life I dream of in the form of a great friend of mine Peter, who has been living and working with one such group of indigenous peoples known as the Kogi for the past several years. He appears in many of these paintings with his teacher, one of the mamos. His work with the Kogi through The Ijolli Project to preserve and protect ancestral lands from destruction and their efforts towards conservation and the preservation of indigenous ways has inspired me to use my gifts as an artist to chronicle what feel to be key parts of their journey through these paintings. In doing so I hope to spread awareness for the importance of their work and to raise money for Tradewinds, the charity that funds their efforts.
